The purpose of the City of Parksville's Economic Development Office is to develop a dynamic and competitive business climate within the community that will foster economic growth and sustainability. The Economic Development Office partners with the Parksville & District Chamber of Commerce, Parksville Downtown Business Association, Oceanside Tourism Association and the Oceanside Volunteer Association and along with the business community and other local organizations, works to build consensus and implement strategies to strengthen the local community.

The objectives for economic development in Parksville are to:
