  • Community Futures Pacific Northwest

    Community Futures Pacific Northwest serves the communities of Prince Rupert, Port Edward, Hartley Bay, Kitkatla, Oona River, Dodge Cove, Lax Kw'alaams and Metlakatla. In addition to the primary focus of helping entrepreneurs through lending services, they have a business resource centre available to members of the general public at no cost. The resource centre includes a variety of print materials, including a small library and two internet-ready computers.

    Community Futures Peace Liard (Community Futures) is a community-driven economic renewal initiative, assisting communities in rural Canada to develop and implement innovative strategies for dealing with a changing economic environment. Community Futures Peace Laird serves the Regional Districts of Peace Liard and Northern Rockies with the focus of improving the quality of life in the region by enhancing business and entrepreneurial activity.

    Community Futures Powell River is a non-profit community economic development organization, committed to helping people in the Powell River Region who are either operating an existing business, or are planning to start a new business.

  • Community Futures Revelstoke

    The Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC) of Revelstoke is a non-profit community based agency assisting entrepreneurs with self employment and business development. The principal resource for the corporation is a revolving loan fund. The corporation has successfully served individual clients and the community at large since 1987. Western Economic Diversification and Human Resource Skills Development Canada provide funding for operations.

    Established in 1986, Community Futures Shuswap was formed to support the emerging business and community-based needs of the region. As part of a larger provincial and national network, Community Futures – Shuswap is an independent organization, locally-governed by a board of directors who volunteer their time, energy and expertise. A team of skilled staff provides a wide range of community economic development and business services.

  • Community Futures Strathcona

    Community Futures Strathcona actively supports the development and growth of new and existing businesses in the Strathcona region on Vancouver Island. Founded in 1988, Community Futures Strathcona has approved more than 804 business loans, injected over $22 million into the local economy; provided business consultation and training to over 2000 clients; and helped to create and maintain over 2790 full-time and part-time jobs.   • Community Futures Stuart Nechako

    Community Futures Stuart Nechako (CFSN) began operations in 1994 as an independent, non-profit organization. CFSN works closely with communities to explore new means of economic diversification, business development, and project realization.The Community Futures Business Development Program provides counselling and workshops in areas such as business plan development, marketing, bookkeeping and business finance to help new and existing entrepreneurs improve their business skills.

  • Community Futures Sun Country

    Community Futures Sun Country is a non-profit community economic development organization partnered with Western Economic Diversification. Sun Country is governed by a volunteer board of directors and exists to assist rural areas experiencing slow economic growth.     Community Futures is a non-profit, federally and provincially funded organization focused on developing the economic and entrepreneurial capacity of the Sunshine Coast. It supports new and existing business development through business counselling and assistance, loans, and business planning. Community Futures also sanctions a wide range of initiatives aimed at strengthening the economic base of the region.

    The Cranbrook & District Chamber of Commerce is an organization of individuals, companies and groups who have joined together to achieve common goals.

  • Creative Destruction Lab

    The Creative Destruction Lab is a seed-stage program for massively scalable, science-based companies. The program employs an objectives-based mentoring process with the goal of maximizing equity-value creation. CDL is particularly well suited for early-stage companies with links to university research labs.

  • Creative Employment Access Society/ The JobShop

    Creative Employment Access Society (CEAS) is an incorporated non-profit society providing employment transition programs and services in the Comox valley. They are a progressive agency with a staff of 28 who provide services to thousands of local residents each year. Known to the local community as "The Jobshop," they currently operate the following projects: Work BC Employment Services Centre, Vintage Advantage, Comox Valley Essential Skills Partnership, Aspire Consulting, Comox Valley Community Services Directory, Skills Connect for Immigrants and Safe Harbour.

  • Creston Valley Chamber of Commerce

    The mission of the Chamber is to improve the business climate and quality of living in the Creston Valley for residents, workers and visitors. Established in 1935, The Creston Valley Chamber of Commerce has had a dynamic and influential past. Over the last five years, it has played an important role in supporting key initiatives, such as the re-branding of the Creston Valley area, and in driving community engagement programs.

  • Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada

    In August 2017, the Prime Minister announced the dissolution of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) and the creation of two new departments: Indigenous Services Canada and Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada. This transformation will take time and includes engagement with Indigenous peoples and others. This website will be updated as a result of structural changes to the departments.
