  • go2HR - The Resource for People in Tourism

    Since 1979, go2HR has served BC’s tourism and hospitality industry with programs and services that support its growth and success. go2HR provides information to employers on HR issues such as recruitment, retention, training and legal issues through the go2hr.ca portal website, e-newsletter, articles in trade publications and speaking regularly at industry events and conferences. go2HR identifies, anticipates and responds to current and emerging labour and skills shortages in the sector.

  • Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce

    The Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce was formed in 1863 and has played a significant role in the Victoria region ever since. Over the years the Chamber has initiated or been involved with many developments in the region’s business community ranging from encouraging Canadian Pacific to build the landmark Empress Hotel, to establishing both the Victoria Film Commission and Tourism Victoria, which first started as committees of the Chamber.

  • Haida Gwaii Community Futures

    Haida Gwaii Community Futures is a non-profit organization run by a volunteer Board of Directors and supported by dedicated staff serving all of Haida Gwaii. The organization started operations in 1998 with the objective of working with Islands' people to create a vibrant islands community. Core funding for this program is provided by Pacific Economic Development Canada.

    Formerly known as Extreme Startups and GrowLab, HIGHLINE.vc was formed to attract the best founders. Today, HIGHLINE.vc has completed its initial investment mandate, and is no longer making investments. They are still accelerating their portfolio of active startups through customized programming and advisory services, support in raising follow-on capital, and corporate connectivity. Their team is now supporting and funding new startups through Highline BETA, a new venture creation firm.

    The Indigenous Business and Investment Council’s (IBIC) mandate is to increase Indigenous participation in the economy and promote economic certainty in the province by encouraging economic growth in Indigenous communities.   • Indigenous Services Canada

    In August 2017, the Prime Minister announced plans for the dissolution of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) and the creation of two new departments: Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) and Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC). This transformation will take time and includes engagement with Indigenous peoples. This website will be updated as a result of structural changes to the departments.
