The Business Law Clinic was established in January 2016 as a pilot program within the Centre for Business Law. Pilot funding for the program was provided by the Franklin Lew Innovation Fund. In September, 2016 a generous funding commitment from alumnus Robert P. Pirooz, Q.C. enabled the law school to continue to operate the Business Law Clinic through the 2016-17 academic year. Pirooz chose to name the Clinic in honour of former law school Dean, Professor Mary Anne Bobinski for the duration of his commitment.
The Business Law Clinic provides segments of the business community, who have limited means, with access to legal services. The Clinic also provides law students with valuable client-facing experience.
The Connected Woman® Association (TCWA) is a professional resource network for women entrepreneurs and business professionals who desire to be a part of an organization that is all about the reciprocal process of exchanging knowledge, experience and expertise. TCWA focuses on creating an environment where women can be women first. It is about community and relationships developed based on honesty, integrity and trust. Opened on November 11, 1950, West Vancouver Memorial Library is a War Memorial, dedicated as a living monument and an everlasting commemoration to those who served and sacrificed their lives in the Second World War.
We are a municipal library, governed by the B.C. Library Act and managed by the West Vancouver Memorial Library Board. As a public library, West Vancouver Memorial Library is a shared community resource, supported primarily by public funds gathered through municipal and provincial taxation, as well as by private donations. Library services are free of charge to the community of West Vancouver and members of other public libraries in B.C., as provided in the Library Act.
