  • Sto:lo Community Futures

    Stó:lō Community Futures’ mission is to provide services to Indigenous entrepreneurs and along with the 24 Stó:lō First Nation communities within S’ólh Téméxw, the Stó:lō Traditional Territory, through a wide range of business and economic development programs and services. Stó:lō Community Futures offers entrepreneurial training, helps with obtaining financing and assisting with business plans. One of their main mandates is to focus on assisting and facilitating Stó:lō Communities with their community based economic development.

  • Strathcona Business Improvement Association

    The Strathcona Business Improvement Assocation aims to support the industrial lands, foster sustainability, revitalize East Hastings Street and continue to provide opportunities for new entrepreneurs. Their vision is for Strathcona members to thrive in a mixed-use, inclusive, resilient and prosperous local economy. They aim to promote a strong local economy through advocacy, cultivating relationships, supporting business participation in the community, delivering innovative programs and fostering community leaders.

  • Sumas Regional Consortium on High Tech (SRCTec)

    The Sumas Regional Consortium for High Tech (SRCTec) is a not-for-profit organization governed by a select group of technology executives that form a volunteer board of directors. SRCTec is a coalition of local government, industry partners and high education institutions interested in attracting tech based investment into the “Region” (including the District of Mission, Cities of Abbotsford, Chilliwack and Maple Ridge, and the Township of Langley).

  • The Business Law Clinic at the Allard School of Law (UBC)

    The Business Law Clinic was established in January 2016 as a pilot program within the Centre for Business Law. Pilot funding for the program was provided by the Franklin Lew Innovation Fund. In September, 2016 a generous funding commitment from alumnus Robert P. Pirooz, Q.C. enabled the law school to continue to operate the Business Law Clinic through the 2016-17 academic year. Pirooz chose to name the Clinic in honour of former law school Dean, Professor Mary Anne Bobinski for the duration of his commitment.
