Image Design Tools

Images can be a fun and powerful way to improve your social media marketing. There are tools that can help you create collages, image quotes, and profile and cover pictures, or edit and touch-up your photographs for social media.

»Canva lets you design images using templates for a variety of social media platforms, as well as for cards, posters, invitations, and advertisements. Signing up is free and, although some images come at a price, there are lots of free ones and you can import your own easily.

»BeFunky is a photo editor and collage maker that is free to use and does not require registration. You can resize and touch-up photographs, add effects, or make a collage using one of many free templates. Accounts can be upgraded for additional perks including commercial reuse of your images.

»Quotescover helps you design image quotes to post to social media, with templates for Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. You can search for quotes or use your own, then add an image or use the drawing tools to create your image quote.

Infographics

Infographics seem to be the go-to way for companies to present information. Infographics are used to display data visually. By using various kinds of charts, graphs, and other images, complex information can be clearly and quickly conveyed.

»Piktochart has ready to use themes which can be customized, or you can start designing from scratch. You can sign up for a free account, with some limitations such as fewer templates from which to choose, a watermark on your infographics, low resolution when exporting images, and no privacy control for published infographics.

»Infogr.am’s free account includes access to 30 types of charts, allows you to import spreadsheets, and lets you publish your finished infographic online. For real-time updates or if you want to download your infographic, you’ll need a paid account.

Image editors make it possible for even the smallest business to create professional-looking visual content. We’ve listed just a few to get you started; there are lots more to discover. So go ahead and play around with them until you find one you like.
