Associations
Trade associations often publish free industry newsletters that are excellent sources of information for your business plan. Such newsletters often have articles that cover in-depth topics on business management, manufacturing practices, how-tos, and current industry news.
Canadian Associations
- Canadian Association of Recycling Industries | CARI functions are "...to promote the interests of the industry nationally and internationally; to work with governments on policies affecting recycling; to inform the public; to promote cooperation between member firms to solve common problems and to develop and provide cost cutting services for members."
- Coast Waste Management Association | A membership association serving the solid waste management industry in coastal BC.
- Electronic Recycling Association | Electronic Recycling Association is a not-for profit organization working with the public and private sector helping companies and the public deal with unwanted electronic items.

- Solid Waste Association of North America (Swana) | An organization of private and public members committed to waste management practices in North America.

Basic monthly membership is free and offers access to blogs, discussion forums, and job listings.
